Updated script assignment
EXT. BENNET COLLEGE SITE - DAWN, FOG
TYLER WALKS THROUGH THE TALL GRASS TOWARDS THE ABANDONED
BUILDING, HIS CHEST STARTS TO POUND, HE CATCHES HIS BREATH. VISIBILITY IS A
PROBLEM AND THE FLASHLIGHT IN HIS RIGHT HAND BARELY GLOWS THROUGH THE DENSE
FOG. HE NOTICES A LOW GLOW COMING FROM
THE PORCH. HE RUSHES THROUGH, CALLING FOR JAKE WHO CAME WITH HIM TO INVESTIGATE
THE OLD GIRLS SCHOOL. SUDDENLY, TYLER HEARS A NOISE BEHIND HIM AND SEE’S JAKE
WALKING ABOUT 75 YARDS BACK. WITH A TERRIFIED YET PUZZLED LOOK, TYLER STOPS IN
HIS TRACKS AND WAITS.
Tyler
“What are you stopping for?”
Jake points ahead at the glow, which has now intensified.
Jake
“Is that a girl?”
EXT. BUILDING THE BOYS WALK TOWARDS THE BUILDING
The girl is sitting on the second step of the building. Her
long dark hair is messed and she is staring down at her hands. A flickering
glow surrounds her as she appears to be whispering something. As the boys
approach, she becomes silent, scowling she looks up. The boys stop in their
tracks. Terrified, Jake drops his flashlight. The two boys turn and run towards
the darkness. Suddenly a bright light shines in their face, stopping them in
their tracks. The girl blocks the way, holding the flashlight.
Bree
“You dropped
something.”
The boys turn and begin to run when they hear some chanting.
THE GIRL RUSHES TOWARDS THE SCHOOL, CALLING THE BOYS TO
FOLLOW HER.
The girl goes through the door and down the hallway to the
back room as the boys follow. (youtube interior footage)
EXT. BLODGETT HALL, DOORWAY EXIT
PUSH SHOT OF THE THREE LEAVING THE DOOR OF BLODGETT HALL.
THEY THEN RUN AWAY FROM BUILDING
EXT. CAR SHOT
The three run towards jeep and enter. Tyler drives. Girl
front. Jake back pass.
INT. CAR SHOT BLUE SCREEN WINDOWS
Tyler drives away from school. Gps navigation shows route, with
intermitting loss and static.
Jake
“haha that was close!”
Tyler
“Let’s
just get the hell out of here!”
Driving-
Jake
“What
are we going to do with her?”
Driving. Girl starts to laugh. act erratic. Yelling.
Tantrum.
Tyler
“What
the fuck? Shut up!
Girl acts more possessed, rocks back and forth.
Jake
“Tyler…. Kick her out”
Tyler
“Get
Out!!”
“Holy
Shit!” Slams brakes. Everyone lunges forward.
Jody - In
road. Blue screen footage
Standing still. Then lunges with over head shot.

Car in ditch. Pass door open. Girl gone. Tyler and Jake passed out.

THE MEN WALK TOWARDS THE BUILDING

As the men approach, she becomes silent, scowling she looks up. The men stop in their tracks. Terrified, John drops his flashlight. The two men turn and run towards the darkness. Suddenly a whirling light flew over head and stopped right in front of the men, stopping them in their tracks. The flashlight floats up to waist level, and turns towards the men, blinding them.
Girl (whispering)
“You seem to have dropped something.”
The men turn to run and notice several men approaching with rifles and flashlights.
Rick (yelling)
“It’s a witch hunt!”
The men run following the girl towards the abandoned building. The girl turns towards the mob of men chasing them and with an angry glare causes a tree to fall, stopping the men.
John (screaming)
“Holy Shit! What Are You!”
The girl runs through the door and down the hallway to the back room as the men follow.

sound composition
I created this bed from foley sounds that I have collected over the years and also recorded. I wrote a narrative that is based on a trip I took this past weekend to town. While shooting for a video for another class, I saw this old guy walking down the sidewalk. I have seen him many times before and he always seemed lonely. I have tried to talk to him, yet he just nods and keeps walking. Pretty sad, either way.

Media Arts Project Concept
For my project I am going to shoot a short horror video, with the premise of a young girl who has telekinetic powers. Sort of like firestarter I suppose haha! Anyway, I will be shooting with either my sony vx1000 camera or possibly the canon xl h1 hd camera that my buddy has. I would be using my family as actors because they are easily accesible and will do release forms with them. I have an idea of where to shoot an exterior shot, an old girls school that is abandoned and rumoured to be haunted. Either way it is pretty creepy! Here is a pic of the school that I found online.
I will be using Final Cut Pro and After Effects for special effects. I will then upload to youtube and supply the link for class to view.

Non Linear Flowchart
For my
interactive flowchart, I chose to create an interactive reel for a film company
idea my son and I had. With this flowchart, it shows how this promo dvd would
allow the viewer to modify the sequence of viewing how we created some of our projects.
The user has the ability to view how we set up and edit scenes in the digital
video medium. They also can see how an animated character is brought to life
using computer animation. The last menu would show some of the behind the
scenes techniques for creating special effects. The user can then select to
watch the full video short or 3d animated short.
